About me

I am a graphic designer, photographer and artist.  I’ve designed books and magazines, have worked as an editorial and product photographer. I’ve taught graphic design, photography and publishing software at two universities and have spent many inspiring hours in fine art and metal studios.

Over the years my design jobs have lead me to research history and culture but most of all people. Good graphic design has to be influenced and directed toward an audience and the context where it will be seen.

Today’s current events with Covid-19 and social concerns will forever change how people consume both printed and digital resources. My hope is that I continue to strive to understand those changes and grow my abilities to make meaningful design in new ways.

Volunteering in my community is another aspect that strengthens my creative life. I have been fortunate enough to be part of a Veterans Equine Therapy program from it’s beginning. I have owned and enjoyed horses most of my life and know from personal experience their power to calm and bring inner peace. I have been humbled by the power a horse has to change the emotional life of a struggling Veteran. It is a profound experience and gives back to me as much as it gives to them.

Thank you for taking time to look at my work!
